Cadillac Margarita

Cadillac Margarita

  • 1-1/2 ounces Top Shelf Tequila
  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier liqueur
  • 1-1/2 ounces sweet and Sour mix
  • Garnish with a lime

The Cadillac Margarita is an upgrade from the original Margarita. We use Grand Marnier in this one replacing the triple sec that is used in the original margarita. You can also use Cointreau to replace the triple sec.

  • On the Rocks - Roll the ingredients back and forth between cocktail shakers to blend flavors
  • Blended - Blend ingredients with ice for 15- to 30 seconds. final product should be frozen enough to not melt in a few minutes but also not too frozen where you cant drink lit through a straw.

The difference between Cointreu and Grand Marnier is mostly the base alcohol used. Grand Marnier uses cognac as their base alcohol giving the Grand Marnier a brandy-orange blended flavor where the Cointreau uses an unflavored base that allows a more pure orange flavor in the end product.

Always ask to salt the rim of the glass, this is standard. however some people do not or can not have the salt.
